$ dsh plugin --profile web add github:xiaoxianyu-office/dsh-router-flash

Run the command above in your terminal to install this plugin via the dsh CLI. You can switch Profile in the top-right corner. New to dsh? Read the beginner tutorial

Install via your agent

Install the DeepSeek Harness plugin xiaoxianyu-office/dsh-router-flash for me: review the repository at https://github.com/xiaoxianyu-office/dsh-router-flash first, then run the install command and verify the plugin loads successfully.

Paste this instruction to the DSH Web GUI assistant — it will install and verify for you.

One-Line Positioning

This is a DSH agent preset distribution package: upon installation, DSH will automatically synchronize the router-flash preset — which implements "task-type routing + tool tiered release" — to the local system on startup. After restarting, it enables the author-marked "god mode" guidance state for opencode-go's deepseek-v4-flash.

Core Capabilities

  • Automatically syncs the bundled agent preset files to ~/.dsh/.agent-presets/router-flash on startup, no manual copying required
  • Identifies if the current model ID belongs to the Flash series; if so, injects the exclusive lightweight guidance persona (task classification + review + staying on topic + deep thinking + decision闭环)
  • First-round conversation only exposes a limited set of core tools (read/write/edit plus platform shell); the complete tool directory is unlocked after the first tool call
  • Non-Flash models use keyword classification logic: determines build (implement first) or fix (investigate first then act) mode based on the user's first message, matching the appropriate persona and core toolset
  • Cross-platform adaptation: Linux/macOS automatically uses bash tool, Windows automatically switches to PowerShell tool

Technical Implementation

  • Language: JavaScript (ESM, type: module) + Cordis YAML configuration + Markdown prompts
  • Key Dependencies: No third-party npm dependencies; uses only Node built-ins node:fs/promises, node:os, node:path, node:url
  • Architecture Pattern: Standard DSH bundle dual-sided plugin (host side syncs preset files to local, client side is empty implementation placeholder), and inserts router-flash combined line into host configuration via cordis.patch.yml
  • Entry Files: lib/index.js (host sync logic), preset/router-bootstrap.mjs (system-prompt/assemble hooks, routing persona and toolset)

Applicable Scenarios

Users currently using opencode-go provider with deepseek-v4-flash model often find that Flash tends to think shallowly and act hastily by default. This package is suitable for such cases: it bundles the author's tested optimal lightweight persona and first-round tool narrowing strategy, allowing you to get stable deep planning and high-quality delivery in regular complex engineering tasks. If you use Pro or other models, this package is also compatible, but the improvement mainly comes from Flash-specific guidance optimization.

Prerequisites & Compatibility

DependencyMinimum VersionDescription
DeepSeek Harness (DSH)rc.6+Required; preset routing logic is adapted for this version's host/agent plane division
opencode-go providerdeepseek-v4-flash model availableCore guidance only follows the exclusive path for this Flash model; other models fall back to keyword classification
Node.jsNot declaredSource code uses node: prefix built-in modules, theoretically supports recent Node LTS
PlatformmacOS / Windows / LinuxPreset automatically determines via process.platform to enable pwsh tool on Windows, bash tool on other platforms

Installation

dsh plugin --profile web add github:xiaoxianyu-office/dsh-router-flash

Configuration

No additional configuration required for this plugin. After installation, please manually follow the two steps in README to point agent-presets.default to router-flash in ~/.dsh/settings.yaml, and set the model to opencode-go's deepseek-v4-flash (with reasoningEffort: max).

FAQ

Q: Who is this plugin for? Can I use it without deepseek-v4-flash model?

A: Primarily for users using opencode-go provider with deepseek-v4-flash. Non-Flash models can also load this preset; it will automatically fall back to keyword-based build/fix classification routing without errors, but the Flash-specific lightweight guidance effect is not significant for them.

Q: What else do I need to do after installation for it to take effect?

A: After installation, you must restart DSH once (so the host side syncs preset files to local), then set agent-presets.default to router-flash in ~/.dsh/settings.yaml, and switch the default model to opencode-go's deepseek-v4-flash. After another restart, new sessions will use this preset.

Q: Will my manually modified preset files be overwritten during upgrades?

A: Your modifications to unchanged package files will be preserved; files with new versions in the package will overwrite your local copies. Uninstalling the bundle does not automatically delete the ~/.dsh/.agent-presets/router-flash directory; for complete cleanup, you need to manually delete that directory and remove references from settings.yaml.

Q: How is this different from the original dsh-router-standard?

A: The original version relies on three mechanisms that became ineffective on DSH rc.6 (session/event cross-domain monitoring, agent.inbox.append, reading not-yet-arrived user/message during assemble phase). This package instead statically merges deep guidance into the WEAK_FLASH persona, with no reliance on any dynamic injection, equally effective for fixed tasks.

Q: Can it be used on Windows?

A: Yes. The preset internally automatically disables bash tool and enables pwsh tool based on process.platform; the shell allowed before the first tool call is pwsh. Other guidance logic (persona, model recognition, routing) is independent of the operating system.

Q: Why can only read/write/edit be used in the first round?

A: This is the author's "lightweight mode" strategy for Flash: using the minimum toolset forces the model to read/think clearly before acting, preventing Flash from acting rashly in complex tasks. After the first tool/call completes, the complete tool directory automatically unlocks.

Getting Started Difficulty

Beginner — One installation command, restart DSH, modify two lines in settings.yaml, and it takes effect. No need to understand the plugin's internal Cordis orchestration to use directly.

Known Issues & Limitations

  • Uninstalling this bundle does not automatically clean up the ~/.dsh/.agent-presets/router-flash directory or the agent-presets.default reference in ~/.dsh/settings.yaml; users need to manually delete and revert (README.md:50)
  • router-bootstrap contains an empty overrides Map (storing explicit modes by session id); currently no code path writes to it; it's a reserved extension point for future external tuning (preset/router-bootstrap.mjs:25)
  • This plugin's author's empirical conclusions highly rely on dsh-router-standard's lightweight persona routing research; other underlying DSH versions (non-rc.6) may become ineffective due to host/agent plane division differences; minimum version is fixed at rc.6+ (README.md:80)
  • Tool narrowing only occurs during system-prompt/assemble phase; clients or custom session entries outside DSH that bypass this hook will get the complete toolset (preset/router-bootstrap.mjs:27)
